We Host the Application ...
With the GeoBooks Exclusive Service, all GeoBooks On Demand ERP applications are hosted at a Geoprise data center. As with the GeoBooks VPD Service, none of our customers is ever aware that other customers are using the same application server. The only data situated at the Geoprise data center is the information needed to host your service, and data temporarily in memory for tasks currently being performed by each of your users (we never store this data permanently). All other data is stored permanently on your premises, behind your firewall.

Your data resides in a MySQL® 5.0+ database installed on your own server (or server cluster), securely behind your own firewall.

GeoBooks Exclusive works exactly the same way as GeoBooks VPD. For your end-users, there are no up-front licensing costs and there's no ERP software to install. The entire system runs on virtually any browser, including Linux®-based open-source browsers like Mozilla Firefox™ that are freely available to everyone.
To host your database, you'll need a server computer (or cluster), Linux® operating system, Apache™ Web server, and the MySQL database. You do not need to install any GeoBooks On Demand ERP software. All the server-side operating system and Web server software is freely available to everyone under the GNU General Public License, and you can license the MySQL Enterprise database directly from MySQL AB for a low annual fee. Your computer hardware and networking requirements will depend on your organization's size and the number of locations you are supporting. Naturally, your organization (and not Geoprise) will assume responsibility for running your own database and maintaining it.
